Scrap Metals

We currently deal with HMS, Aluminum scraps, and Stainless steel scraps. However, we could be interested in any other scrap if you want to sell or look for them

HMS 1 and HMS 2

HMS (Heavy Melting Steel) is classified by HM1 that does not contain galvanized and blackened steel, and HMS2 that does them. HMS1 is separated into two ISRI (Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries) codes (ISRI 200, ISRI 201) itself which relate to the size of the pieces of scrap metal. And HMS1 does fours codes (ISRI 203, ISRI 204, ISRI 205, ISRI 206). ISRI codes for HMS are as follows:

  • HMS1-ISRI 200: Pieces not over 60×24 inches in size.
  • HMS1-ISRI 201: Pieces not over 36×18 inches in size.
  • HMS2-ISRI 203: Wrought iron and/or steel scrap, black and galvanized, 1⁄8 inch and larger in thickness.
  • HMS2-ISRI 204: The same as ISRI 203 with the exception that only pieces smaller than 36×18 inches.
  • HMS2-ISRI 205: Same as ISRI 204 but this bracket could contain thin-gauge scrap from automobiles.
  • HMS2-ISRI 206: Same as ISRI 205 but the pieces must be smaller than 60×18 inches.

Generally, the Steel Scrap consists of a mix of HMS 1 & HMS 2 in a ratio of 80:20

Aluminum Scraps

Aluminum-Castings-1

Aluminum Castings

Consist of all clean automobile aluminum castings. The material is to be free of iron, brass, bushings, dirt and other non-metallic items. Oil and grease not to be a total of more than 2%.

Aluminum-Radiatorsl-1

Aluminum Radiators

Consist of clean aluminum radiators and/or condensers from automobiles. All contaminants including iron, plastic, and foam not to exceed 1% of weight.

Aluminum-Extrusion-1

Aluminum Extrusions

Consist of one alloy (typically 6063). Material may contain “butt ends” from the extrusion process but must be free of any foreign contamination. Anodized material is acceptable. Painted material or alloys (typically 6063) will have a lower value.

Aluminum-Wheel-2

Aluminum Auto or Truck Wheels

Consists of clean, single-piece aluminum wheels of a single specified alloy, fee of all inserts, steel, wheel weights, valve stems, tires, grease and oil and other non-metallic items.

Stainless Steel Scraps

Stainless-Steel-Scrap1

Grade 304 and 316 stainless steels are generally regarded as the most common austenitic stainless steels.

Grade 304 is a Chromium-Nickel austenitic alloy that contains typically 8 to 10% of Nickel, 18 to 20% of Chromium, and a maximum of 0.08% carbon by weight. Grade 316 contains less Chromium (16 to 18%), more Nickel (10 to 14%), and additionally 2 to 3% of molybdenum by weight.
